EACH provides an integrated range of health, disability, counselling and community mental health services across Australia. They recognise that health and wellbeing is significantly and negatively affected by factors such as unemployment, homelessness, financial difficulties, social exclusion and addiction so they offer a wide range of supports to assist members of their community to lead happier, healthier lives. Originally established as Maroondah Social Health Centre in 1974 the organisation was founded on the principle that all people are entitled to good health regardless of socio-economic factors. They believe that health and wellbeing are achieved through a holistic approach which includes not only biomedical factors, but the social determinants of health and wellbeing such as access to safe and affordable housing, education and employment.EACH has a comprehensive range of services that address physical, mental and psychosocial needs at a community and primary care level and they are committed to integrated and coordinated service provision.
They recognise the increasing need for effective linkages between service areas, particularly for people with complex needs.
