For 60 years, they have been providing support services to the people of South East Queensland.
Whilst they are a Catholic agency, they provide these services to the entire community, regardless of religion, circumstance, ethnicity, economic situation, age, gender or ability. You will find Centacare services in every corner of South East Queensland. With a team of more than 3,200, including their invaluable volunteers, and operating from more than 200 locations, they provide help and create hope for tens of thousands of people each year. With funding from both the Federal and Queensland governments, they are able to provide quality services to those in need of a range of services including childcare, support services for the aged and people with a disability as well as relationship education, counselling and support. They are grateful to their army of volunteers and donors who enable their non-government funded work in prisons, hospitals, psychiatric pastoral care and Indigenous communities.
