Gippsland Lakes Community Health has been based in East Gippsland since 1975, providing services throughout the region from their central locations and via their extensive network of partnerships. They changed their name from Lakes Entrance Community Health in 2005 to reflect their evolution into a major service provider across East Gippsland.Today they employ over 380 employees and 600 volunteers across five sites – Lakes Entrance, Bairnsdale, Bruthen, Metung and Nowa Nowa.
They provide quality health care services in the areas of home care, allied health, nursing, medical, counselling, and family, youth and children's services.
GLCH has a strong partnership with the Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association, which operates from the same site in Jemmeson Street, Lakes Entrance. Their mission is to develop and deliver quality health and wellbeing services to the people of East Gippsland.
