The Parkside Foundation offers a range of services to meet the needs of people with disabilities and older members of the community and their carers and families. Their Community Access service provides a wide range of flexible leisure and recreational services for people with intellectual disabilities in the greater Hobart area. These services are offered in a variety of settings.Their services for carers include specific respite for carers of younger people, and for carers of older people with dementia and challenging behaviours and assistance for carers who work.
The Parkside Foundation also works in collaboration with Alzheimers Australia Tasmania, Headway rebuilding lives, South East Tasmanian Aboriginal Corporation and South East Community Care to provide a range of respite options.
